The After Method
Grief Doesn't Have To Define Your Life
What is The AFTER Method?
I created the AFTER Method to help people understand how grief and loss are actually showing up in their daily lives, today and in the future. I strive to empower my clients with coping tools and strategies that apply to everyone and to them personally.
Because grief isn’t just something we feel… it’s something we carry in how we think, how we show up, how we connect, and how we see ourselves.
This method helps you acknowledge what happened, feel what’s real, trace the impact, express what’s been held, and begin rebuilding in a way that honors your experience.
The AFTER Method is a framework for understanding what happens when life changes in a way you did not choose. Most people focus on the event. The AFTER Method focuses on the impact. Because profound disruption does more than create pain. It changes identity. It alters assumptions. It reshapes relationships. It creates adaptations. It influences the way people think, connect, trust, work, love, and move through the world.
The goal of the AFTER Method is not to help people get over what happened.
The goal is to help them understand what happened, recognize how it continues to influence their lives, and consciously reconstruct a life that includes the loss without being defined by it. The event may be in the past. The impact often is not. The AFTER Method helps people understand the difference.

My Approach
We start by assessing how grief shows up in your every day life. The Loss Assessment Quiz analyzes how the symptoms of profound loss are currently impacting your thoughts, emotions, daily functioning, relationships, identity, and physical health. This Assessment helps us identify where grief is impacting your life the most, so we can create a personalized plan for healing and growth.
Honest Results
Many of us overlook the impact grief has on our lives. Whether you are grieving after a death, divorce, change in circumstances, or the loss of something else that's hard to describe, the impact is real. But so is the path to healing. We work with you to discover where you need support the most, and guide you through the process of true recovery.

When I lost my mom, I felt like my whole world had been turned upside down. I had no idea how to move forward or even make sense of everything I was feeling.
Working with Jill through the AFTER Method helped me navigate my grief in a way that felt real and manageable. She showed me that I didn’t have to “get over” my loss. Instead, I could learn how to carry it while still moving forward.
The AFTER Method gave me practical tools, a safe space to process my emotions, and a different way of looking at grief. Little by little, I stopped feeling so overwhelmed. I learned how to honor my mom, make room for my grief, and reconnect with my life in a way that felt right for me.

At first, my divorce felt like freedom, but the pain soon followed – pain from past betrayals, pain from co-parenting with someone I no longer felt I could trust, pain and fear from not knowing what my future was going to look like anymore. It was hard to describe to my friends and family, but I felt it deeply.
Jill helped me recognize that pain as grief. And she give me the permission I had been denying myself to experience it and honor it.
The AFTER Method has given me a deeper understanding of what has been going on inside me, and has given me the tools I needed to stop letting this grief interrupt my life. I finally feel like I'm on the path to healing. I can now recognize the pain for what it is – a sign that something mattered deeply to me, and that honoring those feelings is the first step to moving forward.
I truly believe that anyone who has experienced a loss in their life, will find deeper understanding and growth working with Jill and going through The AFTER Method.
